Experience: 5+ years total, Perl, TSQL / SQL server, Python (Good to have).
Key Responsibilities:
- PERL development skills with good knowledge of TSQL / SQL server to be able to create compatible code.
- ADO/Git and release management practices as commonly related to development cycle.
- Monitoring / alerting etc nice to have.
- Automation tools familiarity is nice to have.
Project Expectation:
- Application code conversion for compatibility between Sybase to MS SQL.
- Code is in PERL, some of it may be converted to Python (which is the language the team is trying to move towards, for sustainability) but if it is not feasible in some cases, compatible code will have to be created in PERL. So, PERL expertise in necessary.
Communication – Excellent stakeholder collaboration and articulation skills
